It sounds like you are at the right weight for your height. The best way to figure out if you are at the right weight for your height is hunger. If you notice you eat only when you are hungry or you don’t eat more than one serving of any food (example do you eat 1 ice cream bar or 6 in one sitting) than you are at the right weight. If you engage in exercise and you maintain your weight and you don’t lose or have a hard time losing, than you are at the right weight. The BMI is a another way to asses where you need to be but its not accurate. Another way is your body fat percentage. If you are a man it should be between 10-18%, if you are a woman it should be between 16-24%. I hope that helps.

You are a bit heavy for that height — perhaps 20 pounds. The usual guide nowadays is a thing called the Body Mass Index: your weight in kilograms, divided by the square of your height in meters. Anything over 25 is considered bad.
You are literally just over weight by the BMI charts. I’m guessing you have a heavy set figure, so I’d say the perfect weight for you 145. But, you won’t really know your ideal weight until you start losing. You should start a regular exercise routine and begin watching what you eat. Maybe try for 1600 calories a day? It won’t be easy but the results will be well worth it. Don’t focus on the numbers. And don’t do this just to look good. Do it for your health and your self-esteem. Take the great body as an extra plus. Once you start seeing the weight come off you’ll get a better idea of what is the right weight for you. Try losing 5 pounds at first. If you are very muscular and heavyset, this might be a good weight for you. If you still feel uncomfortable work down to 150. Just work in increments. Set small, reasonable goals and try to stick with them. I do not recommend going below 140 however. Just take it slow and see how you feel at each stage. And hey, if you feel great now, maybe you don’t need to lose a thing! Weight is so subjective! Just try and live a healthy lifestyle, if you eat well and exercise weight concerns should be a thing of the past. Best of luck and happy holidays!

Look up your body mass index (BMI)
Go on google and look up bmi calculator. It should tell you what percentile of weight you are in for your age, weight, and height.

BMI’s dont exactally work.
it all depends on bone structure, herditary stuff, how much muscle you have, and how much fat you have.
many athletes whom are considered overweight on the BMI charts are only considered over weight because of all their muscle(muscle weighs more than fat) but a BMI chart doesnt know that.
the best way to figure this out is:
at your next check-up just simple ask your doctor ” how much should i weigh to be healthy” and they will honestly tell you.
i hope i helped you out =]
121-160 is a healthy weight range on the chart i checked on this site..http://library.thinkquest.org/13799/cgi-…
