What Type Of Food To Eat To Sustain A Healthy Body Weight?

Incorporate lots of fresh veggies and weed out processed foods. Mac and cheese out of a blue box might taste good, but it has crap for nutrients & most of it ends up as mainly empty calories. When shopping for food, first go around the perimiter of the store where they keep the fresh produce, dairy products, meats, and breads. keep aisle shopping to a minimum as all the interion aisles usually contain highly prosses foods. Once you get used to fresher, healthier foods, start keeping a diary of everything you eat for a week or two. Then go back and find your trouble areas, like what you over eat or what you should cut back on & then make those adjustments. After you begin your journey, do remember to stay flexable and be able to forgive your self for “cheating” with out quitting. Also, indulge yourself once time a week with your fave thing. I have lost 40 lbs with weight watchers (which is working for me, but not for everyone) and I still have a home cooked supper every sunday evening at my moms.

Look at the back of food labels, and look for foods with lots of Dietary Fiber.
the Fiber is the stuff that makes u feel fuller so you dont eat as much

A balanced diet will help you sustain your current weight. The new 2005 food pyramid can be found at the address below.http://www.ring.com/health/food/food.htm

That depends on your metabolism. If you are young and male, you may have trouble keeping your body weight up because of high metabolism. Drink protein drinks–if that(metabolism) is a problem. Otherwise, eat a balance meal. Too much fiber can cause diahrea (sp?), too much orange vegetable and actually turn your skin orange, too much meat and carbs can make you fat. Refined sugar is a disaster for your pituatary–so pop, and sugar drinks may taste good but it will cost you later in life. Look up the nutritional needs of a person your age on the internet and give it a try. Alter it from there.

I maintain my “healthy body weight” by eating a balanced diet. All of these Atkins, south beach, etc diets are fads. Follow the pyramid and portion control and don’t inhale your food. ENJOY IT!!!! If I still feel hungry after waiting about 30 minutes I’ll get a little more. But half the time I don’t. Allow your stomach to understand that there is food in there.

Suggestion: Kiwi’s are a good source of vitamins and fibre. Take 1 – 2 per day. Cheers!
